JetSupport Prepares for Next Phase of Growth with New Management Structure

JetSupport has been providing technical services and support solutions for business aviation and special-purpose aircraft since October 2001, with a focus on flexibility, transparency, and a personal touch. Over the past few years, to meet customer demand, the company expanded beyond the Netherlands and opened branches in Munich, Paris, and the latest addition, the line station in Nice.

To support this rapid growth strategy and commitment to its clients, JetSupport is pleased to announce a new management structure. On the 1st of May, the founder of the company, Ton van Deursen, will hand over his current position of Chief Executive Officer to John Herfkens, who together with the Chief Operating Officer Martin Elfferich, will form the management board of the company. At the same time, the Advisory Board will be formed with the purpose of providing additional guidance and expertise which will help the company to achieve its goals, which will be chaired by Ton van Deursen.

John Herfkens brings with him over 30 years of experience in aviation and management. He began his career at KLM as a flight attendant and later became the director of international line maintenance. He also served as the vice president of cabin crew, as the managing director, and as the CEO for a number of companies. In addition to that, John has also been active as a board member and advisor for various organizations and is also a lecturer of business administration at the Holland Academy.

Martin Elfferich has been a part of JetSupport for 20 years and started with the company as a Part-66 engineer and over the years, has helped to develop the business from being a local Amsterdam MRO to an international company with nearly 140 employees. Martin is responsible for all commercial and technical services of JetSupport and holds a bachelor’s degree in aviation engineering and a Master of Business Administration.

With John’s extensive experience and leadership skills and with Martin’s expertise in both aviation engineering and business, the company looks forward to the next phase of its growth and remains committed to delivering the highest quality of service by providing maximum aircraft availability through continuous innovation.
