Netherlands Coastguard

JetSupport Special Mission Support

During the last 2 decades, JetSupport has supported several special mission aircraft including the Dutch coast guard.

The Coast Guard has two Dornier 228-212s: One aircraft is on standby 24 hours a day for deployment by the Coast Guard Centre. The aircraft are used for search and rescue, environmental monitoring, border control, vessel traffic control and fishery inspection.

The two Dornier 228-212s of the Coast Guard have completed 10,000 flights. A great milestone for the Coast Guard, JetSupport, air observers and pilots. During the 10,000 flights, the aircraft put already 22,250 hours in action.

Onboard there are pilots from the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force. The pilots are part of the 334 squadron at Eindhoven Air Base. In addition, there are air observers on board from Rijkswaterstaat, Customs and the Royal Netherlands Military Police.

JetSupport has always challenged itself to provide maximum availability for these 2 aircraft which soon are to be replaced by 2 Dash 8 aircraft fully supported by JetSupport.

An important mission where JetSupport is proud to serve with great dedication.
